                                     OCEAN CITY
                                  POLICE CHASE
                             Presented by Gillian's Wonderland Pier

When:   Saturday, June 14th, 2008         8am Sharp!    Rain or shine

Where: Start of the Race is in Front of Gillian's Wonderland Pier
   6th Street and the Boardwalk    Ocean City, New Jersey

Race:  5k (3.1 mile) footrace (competitive) and a 2 mile fitness walk (non competitive)

Race Course:  The 5k/2 mile walk will start on the Ocean City boardwalk and head north. Race course will       
                          mainly be in the streets and finish Olympic  style with one loop on the Ocean City HS track.      
                          Water stops and course monitored by the Ocean City Police Dept.


Registration: Race Day Registration will start at 6:45 am at the Ocean City High School track (6th       
                         Street and the boardwalk) or if it is raining, inside the OC Civic Center (next to the track)

Race Entry Fee:    5k and 2 mile walk    $15       Entry is  $20 after 6/07/08    

Race Proceeds: The race benefits the Ocean City Police Benevolent Association who supports          
                                 various causes throughout the year in the O C community.

Awards:      Unique "Ocean City Piece of the Walk" given to the Top 3 Overall  Men and Female            
                      finishers in the 5k Run along with gift certificate to an Ocean City Merchant sponsor.
      Age group awards for top 3 in following age groups (M/F)  16 and under, 17-19, 20-29,
            30-39, 40-49, 50-59,60-69 and 70+.  Also top master (over 40) and top Public Service
            Runner (M/F) [police, fire or ems, military employee]
           TEAM COMPETITION- Top 5 teams receive award. Team placing will be determined by the
           team's top 3 runners and their place in the race overall. Lowest total wins. Only 1 category of team            
             with your choice of  using all men, women or mixed .  Unlimited amount of entries.  Make sure to fill          
             in your team name on each individual entry form.

EXTRAS:      T-shirts to first 175 entrants, kids dash races on the track (3-11 yrs) for free and 2 bike givaways to
            all kids in the dash, tub of Johnson's Popcorn to all finishers, discounts to Wonderland Pier......!!
             Kids DASH!!!   After the 5k/walk we will have a series of short sprint races for children on the OC             
              track.  3-4yrs old (40 meter)    5-6yrs old (75 meter)        7-8 yrs old (100 meter)   9-10 (meter)
             and 11-12 (200 meters).  Entry is free and each child who run is eligible to win one of 2 bikes
             boy and girl) donated by 8th Street Bikes of Ocean City .
